Unwanted pregnancy? We can help.
Summary of our Terms and Conditions - Online Consultation
The “Online Consultation” section of this Website is an online abortion referral service offered to women who face an unwanted pregnancy and who have freely decided they need an abortion.
safe2choose acts as a referral service in forwarding your information and request for abortion pills to a licensed doctor, who is bound by rules of professional conduct and/or the law in effect in the country where he or she is licensed.
Referring your information to a licensed doctor does not constitute an offer to do a medical abortion.
Completing an Online Consultation is a mandatory requirement to place an order for abortion pills. If you are unable to complete the Online Consultation you agree not to continue your request for abortion pills.
You are responsible for understanding any legal restrictions to access abortion services in the country where you live.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your health.
A licensed doctor will use the information provided by you and his/her best clinical judgement to determine whether you can use abortion pills without risks.
You agree to take full responsibility of the service you are requesting and the effects and results of the medicines.
safe2choose cannot process refunds.
You are obliged to provide a valid e-mail address.

We are currently experiencing difficulties in helping women access abortion pills in your country. We are very sorry about this and working on fixing the issue right away. In the meantime, we have good news. There is another organization very similar to safe2choose who can help you access abortion pills. They are a trustworthy group of women and have a lot of experience. They are called Women Help Women ( https://womenhelp.org/en/ ). Please write them at email@example.com to start the process of accessing a safe abortion.
If you need to travel to England for an abortion and cannot afford to do so, Abortion Support Network (ASN) is a small charity that helps those in Ireland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. They can give advice on the least expensive way to arrange your travel and your abortion procedure and can in some cases provide financial assistance. Please contact ASN before you book your flights www.abortionsupport.org.uk.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide access to abortion pills in Brazil. We are only able to provide you with information about how to safely use abortion pills and support you through your process if you already have them. If you are thinking about buying abortion pills locally, please keep the following in mind:
* Vendors that sell 6 pills of RU-486 (mifepristone) and 4 pills of misoprostol: the mifepristone is most likely to be fake and the dosage is incorrect
* Vendors that sell doses of 4, 6, 8 pills of misoprostol due to gestational age: these dosages and instructions are incorrect
* Injections - they do not induce nor help the abortion process.
This information we have is based on the experience of women in Brazil who are trying to access abortion pills locally. There is a lot of false information out there, but we are here to support you. We specialize in medical abortion and follow recommendations based on scientific evidence provided by health institutions such as the World Health Organization. If you are able to find abortion pills locally, please contact us so we can support you with accurate information.
We are conducting a study to see if a new type of urine pregnancy test can help women determine the outcome of their medical abortion on their own at home. The test is called a multi-level pregnancy test and it measures the approximate level of pregnancy hormone, also known as hCG, in the urine. If you use a multi-level pregnancy test you can find out if your abortion is a success one week after taking the abortion medication, as compared with four to six weeks using a regular urine pregnancy test (the kind found in most pharmacies).
If you agree to participate, you will be sent two multi-level pregnancy tests with your abortion medication. One test should be used just before taking the abortion medication. The second test should be used one week later. Each test will take about 1 minute to administer and you will need to wait another 15 minutes before reading the test result. You will be given specific instructions for how to use the tests by email and in a short video. You will also be given a card in your safe2choose package with instructions on how to use the tests and space to record your test results.
You will be asked to provide information about yourself and your experience with the tests. We will ask a few questions just after study enrollment that will take about 1 minute to complete. About two weeks after you receive your abortion medication we will email you a short survey asking about your experience with the tests, which should take 10-15 minutes to complete. You may also receive up to 2 email reminders about the survey. Your entire participation will take about 30-45 minutes.
Up to 300 women will participate in this study. The study is being carried out by safe2choose in collaboration with Gynuity Health Projects, a not-for-profit organization based in New York (USA). It will take place over a period of approximately 12 months.
Risks and benefits: Having pregnancy tests in your home may compromise your privacy. Also, some test results might indicate that the abortion may not have been a success, which could cause anxiety. If this happens to you, please contact safe2choose right away to discuss your care. The chance that the tests indicate you may still be pregnant when you actually are not is about 10%. The chance that the tests will indicate your abortion is successful when you are actually still pregnant is less than 1%. A potential benefit of participating in this study is that you will be able to know if your abortion is a success sooner than you would with a regular pregnancy test. In addition, you will be helping us learn more about how easy and acceptable it is to use this type of pregnancy test for at-home follow-up.
Payment: There is no additional cost to you to participate. If you choose to participate, safe2choose will reimburse up to $30 of your payment upon completing the follow-up survey at the end of the study.
Participant rights: If you choose to participate in this study, your information will be kept confidential and your name will not be included on any publication related to this study. Access to your information will be limited to select staff from safe2choose, Gynuity Health Projects, and the ethical review board that approved this study, the Allendale Institutional Review Board. Your participation is voluntary and you have the right to stop participating at any time. If you choose not to participate, you will receive the standard care provided by safe2choose.
Contact information: For questions about participant rights, please contact the Allendale IRB at 001-860-434-5872. If you have any questions or concerns about the study, please contact safe2choose via either the live chat or the helpdesk (firstname.lastname@example.org).
